It was an absolute pleasure speaking at the last Y20 (youth wing of G20) summit of this year on a topic that is not only my business but the purpose of my life "Climate Change and Disaster Risk reduction" at prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

It was insightful to hear from guest speaker Honorable MP Tejasvi Surya, the steps that govt of Bharat is taking to address the climate emergency and to move towards the target of #netzeroemission by 2070.

This was followed by a very insightful and profound presentation on the impact of climate change by Professor J. Srinivasan, distinguished scientist and chairman emeritus Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc.

Professor Chetan Singh Solanki the flag bearer of the fight against climate change and the person who is going to live in a bus for 11 years to raise awareness about climate change in Bharat showed us virtually, what steps each one of us need to take in our daily lives, to even have a slightest chance to win this war.

It was also thrilling to share the stage with league of extra ordinary people such as Abhinav Ramesh, Dhruvak Aggarwal, Disha Dinesha, Narendra (Naren) Pai, Manasa Mohan, Rohith Kamath as fellow panelists. The discussions we had were sharp and there was great participation from the 250+ audience as well. The discussions varied from Energy mix to making sustainability part of our lives to limitations of renewable energy and much more.

Overall a very enriching experience and I would like to thank PhD student Disha Dinesha at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to invite me for the event.

Coincidentally, I witnessed the wrath of climate change first hand within 24 hours of this summit where I got stuck in major cloudbursts & landslides in Himachal Pradesh. Unfortunately, alot of people lost their lives in those two days and I was pretty close to meeting the same fate.
